Family Matters Fostering provide fostering services to Local Authorities via a network of foster carers who look after children in their own homes. Family Matters recruit and train carers in Kent, Sussex, London and Cornwall.
The hardest part of the fostering process and the most essential - is the recruitment of the right calibre of people to become foster carers. If you've got good carers - then you've got good homes to place children in.
Family Matters Fostering (FM) wanted to add something different to their web site that would answer some of the many questions that prospective foster carers often ask. And who better to answer these questions than some of their own carers.
This has added a completely new dimension to what was an informative but otherwise very static web site. Animations and flash graphics could never accomplish what this video does - painting the picture of ordinary people doing an unusual job.
Admittedly it seems a little unlikely as a sales tool, although that is in practice what it is. The ‘job’ is not something that can be 'sold ' and the results in increased hight quality applicants have spoken for themselves. There are many other fostering agencies out there, but few if any have video on their web site, this has helped FM stand out and made their message clear.
Video Works! The result of this video has been to improve the quality of interested applicants and has worked significantly for the agency. A success story!
